I am Freda Kirtley, originally from England, where I acquired my first Dachshund. She was a minature longhaired girl, from the RossGlen Kennel in England. That was in 1966, and I have devoted my life since then, to the improvement and promotion of Dachshunds. The wire coat is my favorite and lasting love. Along my ventures in the show world, I have mentored many top breeders and AKC judges in the development of this variety.

In 1970 I initiated the Brevard Kennel Club in Florida, and am a current member of the Atlanta Kennel Club and the Kennesaw Kennel Club along with specialty clubs of the Dachshund Club of Metropolitan Atlanta and the National Miniature Dachshund Club.
I also enjoyed my second love, the Vizsla, and am a member of the Vizsla Club of Metro Atlanta, Georgia, where I have resided since 1995. I am a member of the Wirehaired Vizsla Club of America and am looking forward to their future acceptance by AKC for conformation exhibiting and field trials.

I hope you will enjoy my web site as it is being constructed, and also join me in my enthusiasm and current love for the noble breed, the Wirehaired Vizsla!
